The England winger’s first league goal since early September was enough to give the Merseysiders a much needed victory at Turf Moor against the struggling Clarets.
Liverpool secured their first win in four Premier League games thanks to Raheem Sterling’s solitary strike against struggling Burnley. Brendan Rodgers’ side were again far from their best and owed victory to the England winger’s 62nd minute goal. Sterling, without a league goal since September, volleyed home Philippe Coutinho’s pass to help keep Liverpool in touch with the clutch of teams chasing a top four spot.
