The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 32-year-old married man who impregnated a 13-year- old girl in the metropolis.
The suspect, Lateef Gbolahan, was said to have been arrested by police detectives attached to Oke- Odo police station for impregnating the minor called Esther.
According to the police, the minor is two months pregnant. Esther, whose parents are neighbours to Gbolahan told the police that he made love to her three times.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the minor told the police that Gbolahan had earlier threatened to kill her if she revealed the secret. The minor explained that she was afraid to tell anybody until people began to notice the changes in her.
A police inspector attached to the station disclosed that the suspect said, “It was the work of the devil. He used to send the girl on errand.
He said the girl came into his apartment after an errand and told him to lock the door and urged him to do it with her. He said he slept with her only three times. Now the girl is two months pregnant. We have transferred the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, here in Lagos.”
The mother of the girl, Mama Esther, said the police should leave the man if he promises to take care of her daughter. The man’s wife was said to be very worried and ashamed that her husband could do such a thing. The suspect’s wife and mother of one cried that “the devil crept into her home to disgrace them and has succeeded.”

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan said he would ensure that South-East got equal
number of states with other geopolitical zones in the country, if
re-elected.

Eze Cletus Ilomuanya, the Chairman of the traditional rulers’ council, told Jonathan that South-East people were highly expectant of additional states, in addition to looking forward to enjoying other benefits of democracy.

Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa state has revealed that the greatest enemies of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari are fellow presidential aspirants, Atiku Abubakar and Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso of Kano.
Governor Lamido, said this during the campaign rally of Malam Aminu Ringim, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, at Garki Local Government Area of the state.
“I have never been an enemy of General Buhari. We don’t share the same political ideology and so I cannot pretend to admire his political beliefs, but Abubakar and Kwankwaso are his greatest antagonists because he scuttled their presidential ambitions when he won their party primaries,” the Vanguard reported.
He noted that claims by the APC Presidential Campaign Organisation that he was directed by President Goodluck Jonathan to campaign against Buhari were mischievous and misleading, adding that, he was too big to be used as a pawn by anyone.
He stated categorically that he can say about Buahri without fear, saying he has expressed himself severally in the past.
“There is no amount of hatred, harassment and intimidation by any political party that will stop the PDP from winning this month general elections in Nigeria.”

According to viewngr, the police in Ogidi Anambra state have arrested two young ladies identified as Chioma from Umudioka in Dunukofia council area, of the state and one Amaka for allegedly engaging in lesbianism.
The suspects, according to a police source, were caught while indulging in the unholy act in a beer parlour belonging to one of them.
Reliably gathered that members of the homosexuality and lesbianism family in the state have started mobilising lawyers to make sure that the two ladies and their other members currently in police net are not sent to jail.
It was further gathered that the lesbianism family are now mobilising funds from their members in other parts of the state ahead of their legal expenses.
Our correspondent learnt that the Ogidi Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Isah Mohammed has vowed to make sure that the suspects are jailed so as to serve as a deterrent to others.
It would be recalled that President Goodluck Jonathan recently signed into law a bill prohibiting gay and lesbianism.
One of the suspects who was interviewed, confessed to the crime, saying it was the handiwork of the devil. She said “Please, one of my sisters is staying in her shop at Ochanga Market in Onitsha, and I don’t have her phone number off head. Please help me beg the police to allow me call her. I will never live in such dirty life again” She pleaded
When contacted, Divisional Police Officer, DPO Mr. Isah Mohammed confirmed the story insisting that the matter must go to court.
Mohammed however, advised any interested persons to go and wait for the police in the Court, adding that it is where they “can seek for the bail of the accused dirty ladies for their alleged actions.”
According to the Nigeria’s anti-gay law, the suspects risk 14 years jail term each if convicted.

“But football is unpredictable and the reality is we have a six-point lead which is our best situation for the whole season.
“The maximum lead we had was eight but when we had eight we had more matches to go.
“In this moment we have a six-point lead, one match in hand, that can help us have a bigger distance with eight matches to go to our opponents.
“They (City) can make 24 points, if they can make 24 points for us it is a question of mathematics to see how much we need

“For Diego (the international break) is good, because imagine we play three matches in one week, that’s three matches he doesn’t play,” Mourinho said.
“I don’t think it will need an operation. Our doctor is against surgeries, against knives.
“We are all in favour of conservative work and collective work between medical department and fitness technical staff. This is the direction we believe.”
While Chelsea’s sights are on the Premier League title, Hull’s attention lies at the other end of the table.
They remain three points clear of the relegation zone after the six lowest teams in the league all suffered defeats over the weekend.
“I’m sure we’ve got enough and I’m convinced if we play like that we’re good enough to stay in this division,” Bruce said.
“We’re ready for the challenge. We’ve seen that over the last few weeks.

Spanish prosecutors are requesting a prison sentence of two years and three months for Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu and seven for his predecessor, Sandro Rosell, over the so-called Neymar affair, judicial sources said on Monday.
The Madrid court is also calling for a fine of 22.2 million euros ($24.1 million) against the club over the transfer deal which has been the subject of an anti-corruption probe.
The two men and the club are charged with tax fraud and Rosell is also accused of accounting irregularities over his time in charge.
Following months of investigation, a Spanish judge must now consider whether the case should go to trial.
The judge, Pablo Ruz, said 10 days ago after completing his investigation that the two defendants were suspected of three counts of tax fraud worth a total of 13 million euros ($13.6 million), relating to the signing of the Brazilian striker in 2013.
The club has said it paid 57 million euros overall to sign Neymar from Brazilian club Santos, but the judge suspects the real amount was more than 83 million euros.
The cost of the deal rose steeply when Barca decided to bring forward an initial agreement signed in 2011 for the player to move in 2014 by a year as other clubs, including rivals Real Madrid, attempted to hijack the deal.
Ruz said the various contracts produced “were designed to cover or hide the fact that in reality they represented a higher cost for Barcelona” in order to “avoid or significantly reduce the money paid to the tax authorities”.
Rosell resigned over the scandal in January 2014 with his then vice-president Bartomeu taking charge.
Shortly afterwards the club confirmed a number of extra agreements including a 10-million euro signing bonus for the player and scouting and collaborative agreements between the two clubs had taken the cost of the total operation to 86.2 million euros.
In February of last year, the club announced that they had made a voluntary payment of 13.5 million euros to the Spanish tax authorities regarding the transfer.
Bartomeu denied all responsibility when he appeared before an examining magistrate investigating the matter last month.
However, prosecutors believe he had full knowledge of the details involved in the transfer given his role as Rosell’s right-hand man.
Bartomeu’s involvement is likely to damage his campaign to be elected as president in club elections at the end of the season.

However, the President Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation welcomed the development and called on other leaders of the APC in Rivers State to emulate Ikuru, and totally agreeing with Ikuru’s description of APC as a party of deceit.
Ikuru, in a statement, said: “My dear people of Rivers State, I bring you honest and sincere greetings. Today (Sunday), I address you out of the fullness of my heart. Recall that in December 2013, out of extreme loyalty to my boss and friend, I joined the APC, along with other then disillusioned Rivers people.
“Ever since, as the true nature and motives of APC are unveiled, I have continued to twist and turn in extreme mental and emotional agony. The more I struggled to belong, the more the Rivers man in me rejects the APC.
“After carefully studying, interacting and analyzing the leadership of the party, I have come to the sad conclusion that the APC is a party of rebels, insurgents and anarchists, clothed in robes of pretence and deceit. APC is a party founded on deception and it thrives on unholy propaganda and falsehood.
“I, therefore, on behalf of my teaming supporters, and my humble self denounce the APC and we all jointly and severally resign our membership of the APC.
“My dear people of Rivers State, we of this generation will not in good conscience expect forgiveness and compassion from our forebears, posterity, and the spirit of our unborn generations if it is recorded in the annals of history that after 48 years of Rivers people supporting leaders from all other parts of this country with our votes and resources, we were the same that witch hunted and hounded down the very first ever president from this region, granted us by providence. I wash my hands off the treachery.

“Whilst the news remains unofficial at this time as the Deputy Governor is yet to notify the governor of this move, Governor Amaechi, however, wishes Engr Ikuru all the best in his future political endeavours.
“He, however, wishes to note that the reasons adduced by Engr Ikuru are shocking as Deputy Governor lkuru has consistently been the one driving political activities in his local government area of Andoni and has been the second in command driving politics and governance in Rivers state,” he said.
President Jonathan, speaking through his campaign spokesman, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, said in a statement, in Abuja that the PDP was happy to receive Ikuru back into its family.
He said: “We are glad to hear about the return of the deputy governor of Rivers State, Tele Ikuru, to the PDP family. This was a deeply courageous step and we welcome him with open arms.”
Rivers State Chairman of the APC, Dr Davies Ikanya, said that Ikuru’s exit from the party was inconsequential, dismissing allegations of power tussle between him and the deputy governor.
“His exist does not mean anything to our party. Everybody has one vote. He has only one vote. Watch out, now that he has left more PDP members will join the party from the area.”

The Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Tele Ikuru, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party today, from the All Progressives Congress (APC). Ikuru made defected today, March 22nd, 2915 saying he has only forced himself to stay in the party but his conscience keeps prickling him and asking him to do the right thing.
